Screw air compressor operate based on the principle of positive displacement. They use two interlocking helical rotors, typically referred to as screws, to compress the air. As the rotors rotate, the air is drawn into the compressor and progressively compressed as it moves along the rotors’ length. The compressed air is then discharged at the desired pressure.
